Family and Footy

Friday night was family dinner night at Tyler’s place which means Indian food! It was Chicken Tikka Misala with Pappadums, which is just chicken and a spicy sauce with rice. Delicious! It was nice to catch up with the crew-Tyler, Justin, Katie and Heather. (Lindsey was away on the Outdoor Ed trip). We haven’t really hung out a lot since Cairns and the Gold Coast because we’ve all been busy with school. Also, I’ve branched out on my friend group and spend more time with other people than just my “group” which is a nice change of pace. When we do all come together, it is always a good time and we spend most of the evening talking and laughing. After dinner, we watched Friday Night Footy (rugby) and I realized I know most of the rules! As interesting as it is watching these guys collide with absolutely no protection, helmets or mouth guards, I DO miss American football. Also, I’ve never had to defend the Packers more than I have here-I’m surrounded by Minnesota Vikings fans and Aussies who only like the Patriots because that’s the only team they can remember. Go figure!
