...And our study break begins!

Waiting for the bus |
Sunday, April 1st
Tiana and Tim (yay for Aussies with cars) dropped the six of us (Heather,
Katie, Lindsey, Lauren, Justin and myself) off at the Lismore Transit Center
for our evening bus to the Gold Coast. It was a two-hour bur ride there, filled
with lots of laughs, music and excitement for our trip. We were staying the
night at Justin’s house in Burleigh (a suburb of Gold Coast) so that we could
get up early for our flight out of the GC airport. Justin’s parents kindly
picked us up from the bus stop in his dad’s Ute-the Aussie version of a truck
and we threw our luggage in its bed. Although it was dark outside, we knew we
were right next to the ocean from its loud roar across the street.

Justin's House |
We arrived
at his house-very beach resort-esque with a bright exterior and open, airy
interior. After spending an hour chatting, we slept in Justin’s old room which
was filled with three air mattresses for us five girls. There was no floor,
just air beds-it make for one fun slumber party! Well it would have, but we
were all too exhausted for that, so we crashed right away. Wonderful night’s
sleep :)
